    SURFING

    Sri Lanka Surf Tours are the pioneers of surf tours in Sri Lanka established way back in the early 80's. Founded by Kithsiri Panditha (most surfers call him “Siri” ) who has over 25 years surfing experience and his services are very popular amongst the Japanese, Australian and surfers alike, who were in Hikkaduwa from time to time since early 80s . He is also a government approved tour guide.

  • HIKING

    Hiking is usually done up in the Hill country where mountains and water falls are found in abundance. Jungles and nature reserves are also covered during hiking. Abit of bird watching can also be thrown in at the same time.

Of the ninety-one species of mammals found in Sri Lanka Asian elephants, sloth bear, leopards, sambar and wild buffaloes engages the majority of the attention of wildlife enthusiast. Yet the rarest mammals of Sri Lanka are the red slender Loris, Toque Macaque, and Purple-faced Langur, who according to IUCN clarifications are endangered due to habitat loss.
